Default Yesterday's Ride . . .

I took my '08 FXDC out for a pretty nice "day" ride yesterday. I started out in Minot, ND, headed east to Rugby, ND (the geographical center of North America), then north to the International Peace Garden (runs along the border of ND and Canada), from there I headed west to Lake Metigoshe State Park (I'm originally from NH, and the riding around there reminds me of home), then I headed back to Minot with a quick stop in Bottineau, ND for a smoke...

220 miles in about 4 1/2 hours. The sky was clear, the roads were nicely paved, and it was about 80 degrees out, with slight winds (which is rare for ND)...

Ahhhh, I love my new ride!

Take Care and Ride Safe,
Olkie

A light wind day in ND? No way!

Having grown up in ND and lived there until I was 34, I can relate. It was always funny when guys used to whine about riding in a strong wind, I grew up riding in strong winds. You just gotta let the bike do its thing when the wind hits, don't fight it.

Yeah, I found that out within the first 3 miles on the highway at 75mph, heading north, with 30mph winds from the east! What a weird feeling! I don't really understand why the dealers up here even give the solid rims as an option on the bikes they get...
