RIP OFF, get the service manual and do it yourself, or find an indy shop that wont screw you over. thats why i willnever take my bike to a dealer for service. if you can do your own oil changes (which are easy), you can handle regular service. for bigger things, i suggest taking it to a shop you trust. try talking to local guys and see who they use. between the guys i ride with we have a bike tower, a shop owner, a few welders, and a couple guys that make people disappear
Those services are way overpriced....I took my bike religiously for the first 4 or 5 until the warranty was up, and then I wised up and started performing what I could myself and what I wasn't sure about, I took to the dealer and paid them "just for that". The bike shop where I purchased my Harley from told me that if I kept these services up through them, they would give me what I paid for the bike when I traded it if it was with-in a few years. I had went to trade it in just after my last service was performed and guess what...no such luck. The bike was in excellent condition and I realized I had fallen for a bad dealership scam. They even said the bike was in excellent condition but when I pressed the issue, it was a no go. Save yourself the money and get a service manual, and perform what you are confident with by yourself. What you can't perform, bring to a reputable dealer and have them do just those few things.
JMO....
240 was mine here in cali, thought that would be one of the highest ones because of the state and city. Maybe go on a little road trip into the states and find it cheaper?
Revans310 ......they said they do a full check on the bike, everything........ i'll post tomorrow after i pick it up, Voyager1................ i don't need any Ky after i've been ****ed
Ouch! I paid $112.50 incl. syn3 fluids - which was 50% off due to having bought the bike from that dealer. Wouldn't have had the dealer do it otherwise.
I spent about 60 bucks on my 1Kservice.....just the price of oil, filter and a filter wrench......one of my buddies is a hd tech and he told me to just buy hd oil and parts and keep records and receipts so i wont have any problems if i need warranty work
