We have Kangaroos by the hundreds out here. There's nothing like cruising down a back road at about the ton, looking in the mirror to adjust your mask, then looking up at the roadto see a 6 foot roo bounding up from over an embankment with absolutely perfect timing for your approach. Then you have about a millisecondto decide - Do I try and brake or do I hammer it and hope to beat his last hop???? So far I've been lucky, but these idiot animals are so unpredictable they jump every which way at the last minute.
Aint adrenaline wonderful stuff?
Guess which muscle is my strongest....5cent 50cent, 5cent, 50cent...or as you guys might put it - nickel, quarter...nickel, quarter.

The guy in the red shirt did turn his head, and if you look real close you can see the shadow of the deer as he goes airborn to jump the other bike..I'm just amased that the deer did jump, sometimes they just lower their heads and plow forward..they have no fear of bikes, trucks, trains or cars As for me I hit a deer, or should I say the deer tried to jump me and landed on my front fender, anyway it hurt, big time,, that was in Sept. of 03 and I still have a mean a$$ pucker factor when riding in between corn fields and through heavly wooded areas..
