I love the Rush slip-ons.... I have a nice quiet neighborhood, and I also work late at night, so I've always been nervous about putting really loud muffs on my bike. I got the 1.75" Rush mufflers and they're exactly what I would want! I bet the 2.0" would be even better still.... maybe one day I'll change it. +1 for Rush.

Be sure you use new muffler clamps!Dyna mufflers have no support bracket,so if you do not use new clamps they could fall off. The original clamps are a one time use thing.
Right on with this advice! Also try cycleshacks from wwwfullmooncycles.com it is where I got mine and I like them a lot. Some say " loud as Hell, but they sound just right to me![8D]

Thanks again guys. Guess I'll just have to save up for some better pipes. Kinda new to modding bikes, though they really should've just come louder. My brother makes fun of me for sounding like a Honda next to his bored VROD.

DRILL 'EM, its free horsepower. 11/4" holesaw will do the job, and you will get rid of your "Honda complex" until you get the pipes you want.
I drilled mine 2 years ago.......... They do get much louder as you chaulk up the miles.

Take slip ons off, run a rebar thru them, mount back.

on my 02fxd,,I went with keeping the stock headers,,,(better revision with the crossovers) and cycle shack slips,,you can chose your own type,,some are louder than others,,,I got the slash cut ,there louder,,,
but theres are some of the cheapest/yet best preforming anywhere..on the rpm map,,,,smooth dyno curve...
I finally saved up enouph for some 2into1 supertrapp now they are the real deal..quiter and Best proformance bar none...

there are a lot of great slip on's for your bike. I would leave your stock slip ons alone, and go buy some cycleshacks. They are half the price of the other brands and you'll have the harley sound. You should be able to get a set for around $180. Check with jirehcycles.com
