Oh, right; Saturday I went in for my test drives. They had it raised on the stand; originally I put a deposit on a Vivid Black unit coming in next month, but the Denim Black grew on me and so I bought the showroom floor one. I went back and picked it up Sunday afternoon. Now I just have to go back and pick up some leather.
When we got there, there was one outside next to the door with some one playing with it.. How many miles were on the OD.. I also test rode one in denim black awhile back.. There a quick handler...
40 miles on the OD when I was sitting on it Sat afternoon (still on the rack) and when I left on Sunday around 4:30pm. Maybe they took it off the rack later that Saturday afternoon? The original od statement said 8 and the sales mgr and a tech said they were the only two to try it out. I know they didn't offer to let me drive it before I bought it; maybe this is the one you rode on? I thought the tech said this was the first one they had out the door. I wonder how long this was at the dealership. Anyways, I'm very happy and can't wait to get it back out soon.
I got Fat Bob fever too. I'm 6'1' and originally liked the look of the Street Bob, the mini apes in particular. What sold me on the Fat Bob is the forward controls and fat front tire. I got money down on mine in denim black but dealer said I may be waiting for 6 mos before they get one in.
After some of you have taken this on a road trip post your feedback.
I had planned on riding into work this morning; perfect day for it, but I ended up with a lunch meeting I had to go to and needed to wear my standard business casual. Hoping tomorrow's rain forecast will put it off so I can ride in. I'll have a ton of photos this weekend to post.
