I got the opportunity to finally see the Fat Bob in person today....... San Jacinto HD in Pasadena TX has itmarkedup $2,000 over MSRP. that makes it only $400 less than a Fat Boy, and $3000 more than a Street Bob.IMO the Street Bob fit me better... ie: seat, controls and handlebar. besides,I would NOT pay a premium to get any bike.
however, I would say that it's a good looking bike. and I'm sure HD will sell all of them.
The dealer had mine marked up $750; I got it for the MSRP of the black units (this was the higher priced colored model), so saved a few hundred dollars. I was very happy with the transaction - after experiencing a thing where they insisted on a $2000 chartiable donation in addition to the price of the bike a few years back, I was concerned about going back in; but no such problems this time.
the 3 Houston and 2 San Antonio dealers I went to were selling at MSRP - no discounts, a couple offered a $500 card (to be spent at that dealer) I got a VIP card... good for 10% on any parts, clothes or service.
like you, I wanted my Fat Boy now... not next year.they really see us coming, you know???
That's okay, though; I am a very happy customer and like having something unique (for now anyways). It what I loved about my Dodge Vipers (all 4 of them!); you can wait and save a few bucks, but then again you could get hit by a bus walkinga cross the street and then you would have never had the chance.
I don't work my *** off to sit around and wait for the things I want; nor should you!
oh, I got 2 dealer Tees also... but they didn't have HD on them anywhere.
I agree - live life to the fullest each day - this ain't a trial run!
Yeah, I did the trial run, it was kindaboringCaused me to wait an awful long time for my scoot.
Don't want to go out in a big flame, but not waiting for things so much these days.
