good idea and nice job .i dislike my switch location almost as much as the speedo, put on 4 in. pullbacks and the speedo looks like a big eyesore .got to figure something out that wont break the bank.really like your switch relocation
What are you doing to remove or cover the old switch once the new is installed?
Both my switches are still active. the new switch is wired in series. This way the bike is double locked.
The thing I depised about the frame switch was it falling out in the OFF position at fill ups. Especially bad in cold temps, to try to fumble with that thing.
It is also fun to watch another Harley owner or service tech try to get it started. Frame key just stays in the On position, unless I am out of site of the bike.
That's pretty cool. Didn't even know there was a setup for this availible. What kind of install time are we looking at?
I hear ya on the fill up thing too Doug. Hate having to pull the key out just to avoid dropping it on the ground.
I don't want to admit how long it took me to "complete" the switch install and get the way mine looks, now.
I did initially move it over a year ago.
If you planned it out first, I would say a few hours, but I usually get a general idea of what I want, and then stumble around the idea awhile, then plan as I figure out what it really takes to do the thing
I'll probably get my lighter idea the way I want by next summer.
Coming up your way tomorrow.................. guess you better hide
