reduced effort clutch
About one month ago, I had HD install their reduced effort clutch, the same that is on the 06's I think. I have an 04 dynal lowrider. The clutch worked great--hardly any resistance and a smooth feel. I had them recently put on new handlebars with internal wiring and while at it went with diamondback braided cables all around, including clutch. It now pulls extremely hard, even harder than before the reduced effort clutch and they told me that they put everything back the way it was. They are telling me that the factory pre-lubricated braided cables may need additional lube and that should take care of the problem. I'm happy with the look but not the clutch. Anyone else experience this or have suggestions?

THe pull got hard? Sounds like something is either binding, adjusted incorrectly or they swapped parts on you. Did you pull off the inspetion cover and check the clutch pack? I dubt its the cable. Even with minimal amounts of lubrication they dont really affect the pull. Are you sure they reisntalled back the new ramps and clutch spring?
Anyone out there with reduced effort comments? I too find it hard to believe that the braided cables could make that much difference. It feels tougher to pull now than it did before the reduced effort was put on--to the tune of 200 plus.
