Default Detatchable S-bar and Bag Supports

OK, I know this is a subject that comes up every so often (I even posted the last time it did). But, my question, I have never seen on here. I have done a search for what I'm about to ask, but did not come up with the specific answer. I'm pretty sure I'm gona try it anyway, but was wondering if anyone else has done this...

Has anyone ever bolted a set of saddle bag supports onto the lower portion of the detatchable sissy bar sideplates?

If I am not missing something here, once you install your QD sissy bar, you can not instal your bag supports, correct? I am currently using a universal set that I can set up using the one unused strut hole (second from the end). But, I was wondering about getting a set of bag suports (like for an early softail) that the width will fit within the sissy bar side plate dimensions. Drilling two holes matching the support dimension into the sissy bar side plates, and bolting them on. Then, when I take longer trips, I can throw on my XL Willi and Max throw-overs, the QD sissy bar, and the bag supports all at once, and not have to touch a single bolt. Currently, I am unbolting and rebolting the support each time I put on the QD sissy bar. The QD sissy bar and bag supports would all then be one single unit, bolted together.

Any thoughts on this mod, before I go drilling up a perfectly good new set of QD sideplates?

Thanks!
