Are you saying there's an adapter kit you can buy? I recently bought a jack and was planning to make some kind of rig so I can use it on my FXD. But I'd rather buy one if it's not much.
Yes, Sir. The MoCo makes it. After finding the box it came in:
#98965-99 "Twin Cam 88 Lift Adapter"
I think I got it last year and was about $20, more or less.
Oh, and it's the always stylish orange- black color combo

Well, whadaya know. When I asked the service guy at the dealership, he said that folks have to make their own and went into detail describing how differentguys did it. Many thanks for the info.
BTW, I just found it in the catalogue $21.95. I never thought to look after the dealer guy said there wasn't one...
Ah, it's ok Doug. For the money you can't beat it. The aluminum one was another 80 bucks more and a hell of alot easier to move around and lower to the ground. Either way you'll need the HD spacers for them to getthe bike sitting just right. Or you could do what I did and just cut some 2x4's up.
I can jack the bike up on my own but it takes a little effort to get the bike centered correctly using the 2x4 method. Once on the lift it is pretty easy to move the bike around makes working on it alot easier for certain mods.
Thanks pshawtx ...... just ordered one online for in store pick up tomorrow!
You guys should check out some of the reviews on this thing...
While there are a few good reviews... it appears there are many reviews that have the same negative tone.
Many unhappy customers:
"The bottle failed after a yr. & the lift doesn't work anymore. When I called Sears they told me that there was no replacement part for it. Do yourself a favor & buy something else!! Very dissapointed with this product!"
"Bought this jack a year ago and used it right away for a couple of weeks with no problems. Stored it under cover in carport for several months before needing to use it again. It wouldn't lift at all. Changed oil, made sure it was full, made no difference. Obviously the jack is a piece of junk. Worse, there is no kit available from Sears to repair jack, or even a replacement jack available. With no jack the whole thing becomes worthless. Worst thing I've ever purchased from Sears, with no way to repair. Very disappointed in jack and even worse in Sears."
"I purchased this jack to lift my 1500 cc Nomad. It lifted it once and that was it! If you need one, find somewhere else to buy it. (short and to the point)"
"I used this jack for about 2.5 years on harley oil changes and service. The jack capacity is 1500 lbs. and it never lifted more than 790 lbs. anyway the pump has malfunctioned at the presure release swith and will not hold pressure. I think 2.5 years of sevice is a very short life for a tool that should have lasted a life time in my home garage."
6-1/4" Lowered. Way too high for me. Doubt if I could get it under the bike with the bike rolled up on 2x4's. That's about the highest I've ever seen.
'rdondes'...yes, you need the adaptors for any of that type of lift.
PitBull makes a lift that has arms wide enough for a '07 FXWG and all late model Dyna's. No adapters needed. It isn't cheap and I don't know if the arms are too wide for other bikes but it fits my Dyna just fine.
