Riiiiight. Impeccable logic. If you think freedom of speech gives you the right to call anyone a name, you are in for a real wake-up call. First of all, someone could sue you for slander: name calling is a form of assault. Second, I hope you have a good dental plan because someone just might forego the legal niceties and re-arrange your face.

Now if you want to argue that you weren't calling anyone a name and just wanted to point out that freedom of speech means you can say what you want in a context like this forum, wrong again. The owners have the right to regulate what gets posted here. And guess what, you can't post racial slurs.

I suggest heading over to Stormfront's website where there's plenty of white-trash morons engaging in their circle-jerk fantasies of racial superiority.

You just went against everything you typed with this last sentence.... LMAO.... I beleive that's slander (by your own definition),andI beleive white trashcan be consideredjust as much a racial slur as the others. so you cant post that either ....ha,ha,ha... pretty soon at this rate... we'll all have to select our words from little dropdown boxes... wont be able to actually type anything..... it'll all be pre-typed.

Got me? Really? White trash, when used by a white person like me, is classist at worst, not racist. It does not refer to an entire race like the N-word, and it wasn't used by one race to subjugate another. But you both gave it a valiant try, I must say. Someone comes on this board for the first time inviting people who disagree with him to kiss his ***, spewing racial slurs, and you guys jump in to defend it as freedom of speech. What it is (among other things) is utterly classless, so accuse me of snobbery then for comparing his behavior to white trash--I plead guilty--but hypocrisy? No.

And now you want to call me a name? Were you asleep in Composition and Rhetoric when they taught you about logical fallacies?

When I was a little boy there was this little rhyme we were taught "Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me". I am not sure when it happened but according to the new teachings the rhyms must go "Sticks and stones will break my bones but the words I choose will never hurt me, use anything else and I'm gonna sue your pants off!" Fuggin bleeding heart liberals stirring up trouble and encourageing cowardice and entitlement attitudes!

Ah, of course, you had to take it into politics instead of dealing with my argument. Naturally, it's far easier to swallow what Limbaughtomy and Hannitard say about liberals and PC (whatever the hell they mean by that), than to use your own mind. Well, you are plenty welcome to marinate in your own non-PC feces, my friend. It's your right. But you can't go past certain limits on this board.

ah, logical fallacies?

...which one, littleroy? .....cause i can't seem to find anything in what anyone said about calling you a name that even remotely resembles a "logically incorrect argument" in which the premises seem to support a conclusion, but do not

nor do i see any form of argument that resembles a deductive fallacy

nor do i see any sort of inductive fallacy

....if you're going to try and drag logic into your contentions, please lay out the premises with the conclusion, and then we'll examine whether it's a fallacy or not

otherwise, stop trying to sound smart....because you're really not

also, you're comparing "#$%^%$^ mexicans" to "white trash" ....???

...."white trash" is pejorative language, littleroy.... saying "$%#%^&% mexicans"....isn't!

but you're too stupid to see that....also, you can drag in logic, but someone else can't drag in politics?

..and if "white trash" doesn't refer to an entire race, what does it refer to? ...cause last time i checked "white" meant "caucasian".... and "caucasian" is a race of people ....also, you say it's "classist".... so "trash" in the context of "white trash" means you are only referring to a white person's social or economic class?

help me out here

Engaging in ad hominem attacks is considered a logical fallacy, which you commit in this post and the previous one. Ad hominem attacks and every other logical fallacy are taught in every freshman English class. Clearly, you were not paying attention. I seem to recall that you were complaining upthread about ad hominem attacks being used against you--even threatening to get the poster moderated--but apparently you feel like you can dish it out to me despite my not having done anything but object to another poster's racial slurs. So let me invite you to go Cheney yourself. Professorial deportment? Go to! Perhaps if you are a professor at Bob Jones U or Pepperdine.

Your effort to equate the N-word with white trash because white trash is also race specific is specious
nonsense. The two words are not remotely similar in terms of their historic use or intended effect. White trash describes either socio-economic class or boorish behavior. I employed the latter. Had you any sense of history (or shame) or real grasp of the English language, you would not try to equate them.

Now, I suggest you go and familiarize yourself with the rules that everyone is supposed to abide by on this board and stop acting like a reactionary horse's ****.
