Electric riding equipment made by Gerbing at your Harley dealer or at a BMW dealer (note: Harley electric equipment is made by Gerbing)
- electric gloves
- electric vest
- electric pants
- electric socks
Depending on how you react to the cold and how long your rides are, you may buy some or all of this electric equipment. With proper electric equipment, you can ride all day in sub-freezing temperature.
A windshield is a MUST for winter riding. Get a quick-detachable one from Harley.
Regarding road conditions, use common sense. No ice or snow riding would be a safe bet.
I really need some good gloves, that's the only thing left on me that gets really cold. I have some leather HD Basic Skins gloves with no lining like these
and I bought some cheap HD knit gloves to wear under the leather ones like these
but dammit my fingers still get cold.
I tried the hand warmer things that hunters use and put them under my gloves, nope still cold. What the hell kind of gloves can I get that will keep my hands warm yet not be really damn bulky? Oh and I don't want electric.
I saw these Sealskinz gloves at Bass Pro shop http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st..._SearchResults
Does anyone know if these would work? Someone posted they put their hands in ice cold water and their hands didn't feel cold or wet at all... hmm

pigster, if you want to stay harley look at the FXRG gloves, they will keep your hands warm, too much for warm weather riding, but won't bunch up in your hand and you will still have all the feel on the throttle that you need.
Ill just stick with my fingerless gloves all winter, its all about the looks u know LOL. Just kidding its getting a bit chili here in the mornings mid 40s to 50s on my way to work. I think i reallllllly finally invest in some heated gloves. Its about the only place i really get cold . Of course i have a neoprene face wrap and chaps on but my hand are the worst for me
I refuse to winterize my bike, what if theres a day during the winter when the snow melts. man it would suck not to ride lol
I had a set of heated grips before i got mad at em and broke them more( long story), I didnt really care for them much but others swear by them. I think heated gloves would be nice but its hard to spend a 100 on them when i have a few parts i wanna buy LOL
Pig, I have gloves similar to these. Have had them for a couple seasons now, and they keep my paws pretty warm down below the freezing mark. They even kept me warm and dry when I rode all day in the rain and upper 30s.
No business of salt here in CA. However it gets cold around here, I'm looking for a good pair gloves that does not cost a leg/arm? any recommendation? besides, my Harley is a daily driver.
