Well, I didn't have a clue just how fun this aspect of it was. I never did anything to my other bikes, but this bike is like an expression of a personality and not just something you ride. Customization seems to be as much of part of owning a Harley as it is riding it.
My wife just rolled her eyes when this all got rang up; friend of hers said within the first year I'd spend $3k on the bike. It's been two weeks and I'm almost there, lol (jacket, $400, helmets, $300 and one more on order); it adds up quick!
Stopped by the dealer today for some new parts; they had a red one in, very nice in person (not a flat red). They had a blue one that I didn't care for the color much.
I grabbed some skull footpegs and smoked lenses - here's some more before and after shots.
The air cover I had does indeed fit, they explained how to install it over the top of the air cover; will post pics of that shortly, didn't like the reflection I was getting at the time I did the install.
Problem is EVERYONE is latching onto these skull accessories. Went for a Labor Day ride with my sisters brother and sister in law on their Heritage Softail, and we were counting and guessing how many of those Willie G skulls were on that thing, I finally gave up at about 65, and he just snickered like "not even close". (we're talking license plate bolts, tire valve stem caps, wheel weights, everywhere you looked)
