And so........................ Do you really like the horns, or are you afraid momma just might be reading this thread??
How do you like the Foxcreek throw overs, that's what I have been looking at, or the Lowriders?
DougJ
Yeah...It's something different and they are loud!
The Foxcreek throw overs fit like they were meant to be there...I don't even have to tie them down...they wedge in tight between the shocks and the stock rear turn signals. As soon as I can save up the bucks I'm going to invest in one of their jackets...best quality I've seen.
My wife wasn't real happy with me bringing the bike home...It's been about 10 years since I owned one...I had a sweet 78 Sportster that got me through school...when I got her she was just a frame and a bunch of parts...spent a summer getting everything fixed up...a few years after I met my wife...some farmer wasn't paying attention and rear ended me as I was turning off the road....now 2 kids later...The Street Bobreally appealed to me...the rattle can finish...the stock barskinda remind me of the buckhorns I had on the sporty...and the V&H shortshots are great...and it'snice to ride something that you know will start and won't likely break down somewhere inconvinient.
The crazy thing is...I have this nice reliable bike and all I'm thinking about is tearing the motor down and getting a little more power, maybe adding a wider rear tire, chopping the rear fender up...things I wouldn't think twice of doing to the sporty...I really missed riding, and it's good to be back in the saddle...LOL! I think what my wife is so upset about, is that I'd rather be in the garage with the bike than in the house...she'll get over it...
I have the fox creek studded throwovers on my low rider...get a lot of compliments on them...I used there black fury thing that goes between the yoke and the fender....I like the way it looks but makes putting the passenger pilloin on a little harder. I got the zip off yokes but never use the zip off as I just take the pillion and bags off when I want to.
windshield... used to make fun of my old man all the time... now it almost never comes off... what have i become! comfortable!
I have a corbin seat because back in the day that's what the cool bikes had...lol...I found a really comfy gel pad like some of the touring guys have...I keep it in my saddle bags and on the longer rides...it's nice...
Been afraid to put a windshield on the bike...figure once I did, it wouldn't come back off...
Bolverk I really like those horns. I've never really been that much of a skull man but I like those big shiny horns. Where did you get them?
Thanks...the horns are Howard's Hog Horns Duo...you can get them direct or someplace like J&P...my wife found them at a huge flea market outside of daytona used for $45 bucks.
I never wanted the crash bar/engine guard, but I bought this bike used with it already on there. I put highway pegs on it, and the bar will now stay. The riding position of my bike couldn't be any better with the footboards and crash bar mounted pegs. It's more dresser-lite than custom cruiser, but I think it still looks good and is comfortable without being too civilized..

Yep, know what you mean.
If my bike had one on it, I probably would't take it off, either.
Considered one at purchase, but got talked out of it. They work well.
