Now why in the world would you want a kick start? I am afraid of them. I was helping a buddy tune his 60 something and I went to kick it over and it back fired and darn near put me through the roof of the garage. I damn near passed out from the pain and couldn't walk on it for weeks.
I have been riding my entire adult life. No matter how far we progress there are always those that long for "The Good Old Days" Well the good old days weren't always good. A few examples: Tires sucked, oil leaks from day 1, riding in the rain was impossible because the brakes didn't work, pride in craftsmanship was unheard of at HD.
You guys don't realize how good these bikes are now. EFI, a bike that starts every time, tires that last 30-40k miles, brake pads that actually stop the bike. The list goes on and on.
Can definitely think of better things to dump my money on than a kick starter. All my bikes til now had them too. But they all had nobby tires and no headlights too.
