Looked at the Fat Bob today. This is a cool looking bike ! The dealer had wrapped Rhineharts on it. The price on it was over $20,000. That included $2400 for exhaust, chrome foot pegs, and axle nut covers. Also they added $1000 over msrp because they said it was a rare bike. If I bought it for 20k they would give me a 1k store credit for clothing. I told them I wanted one for msrp plus the RH wrapped exhaust installed, They told me to take a walk. I was there getting my battery bolt recall done. I got a bill for $47 for a clutch adjustment. I said no way Jose, im not paying for something i didnt ask for. I will never go bask to Ocean Harley again !

They must be low on crack to start charging for unauthorized repairs. Price on new Fatbob is BS.
i bought my for msrp (still got screwd on my trade in)....the only thing that i didnt like was the security system (blinking lights) for 345, so this will be the last bike i purchase from my dealer....
they tried to take me on the security when i got my bob... i told them to take it off... they said that your can not take it off... so i said then it must be standard and i refused to pay for it... i did not end up paying for it.
I got mine for MSRP of the vivid black (saved a couple hundred off MSRP for the denim paint upgrade); opted for the security system. The sticker on the bike had a market value markup, but when I asked for an out the door price, they didn't put it on there. I know they charged for setup and such, but I felt my out the door price was very fair. I was very happy with Patriot Harley and how I was treated.
I'd never pay $2400 of any exhaust "upgrade"; the Fat Bob comes with a very nice setup that looks and sounds great! Sounds like an attempt to make alot of money off an upgrade that probably didn't cost them but a fraction of that price.
MSRP + Security: $15,203 ($14,795 + $345 + $63?)
Freight & Setup: $795
Tax , Tags/Title and fees: $755.33
Total out the door price: $16,753.33
