New 08 Fatbob

Bought an 08 dark blue Fatbob with factory forward controls today. I went to look at the softail Custom & the Dyna Lowrider. The Custom was $2K higher to start & the Lowriders' mid controls & foot pegs had my knees up to my elbows. Got it for $500 under MSRP to boot.

Thanks. I'd like to adjust/change, if possible, the front brake lever position. It seems to have a long pull before the braking action starts. Anyone elses FB do this?

I didn't think I was going to like the blacked out engine look and had intentions to at least putting on a chrome timing cover. The black look has grown on me so this morning I ordered the black wrinkled finish finned derbyand timing covers (along with a service manual). Got to say this, I bought this bike as a second, one-up, rider (the Ultra is just too big for running to work & around town). I am impressed with how light it feels and how quick it responds. I'm 6' and the forward controls are perfect. I'd like to warn anyone considering one that they are made with mid controls & pegs also. I tried one and it was too cramped for me. I may spring for the new quick release windshield for the winter months.
