Well, I have to say, it has been a real pleasure being welcomed, guided, razzed, and supported here in the Dyna Forum. However, I must now say Thank You ALL, and Good By (for now).
I traded in my '05 FXD Super Glide (sig pic) yesterday for aDeep CobaltPearl '07 FLTR Road Glide. I was able to bring it right home, and will be jumping on it tomorrow morning to head south of the border for the Rocky Point Rally. Should be a good ride to get aquainted with my new (to me) ride.
Again, thanks to everyone on here in the Dyna family who directly, or indirectly, helped guide and educate me over the past 2.5 years that I have had my SG. I was a great ride, and I felt sad to trade it in last night, but I had spent a lot of time and money trying to make the bike be what I wanted. I finaly came to terms that it just wasn't gonna happen.
Take care all. Ride safe, and have fun. See ya 'round!
trader [sm=joke.gif]. change is the only thing constant!
the fxd pavement pounder looks like a sweet ride... kudos to your style. someone is gonna get a nice fxd
good luck w/the new glide.
sounds great, im looking to to upgrade my bike also. if you dont mind me asking how much did you get for your trade in??? good luck with your new bike!!
Thanks guys, for the compliments on the FXD. It was a lot of fun riding, I jsut got tired of converting it everytime I wanted to go somewhere further than work. Plus, I'm trying to set things up better so my wife will be more comfortable to ride more often.
Trade in? Not enough! Just under 10K, but way better than NADA and better than many other dealer trade in quotes that I had heard floating around out there.
If you're trading in, you will take a good sized hit. Especialyif you have anyadd-ons or "sweat equity" in the bike.
OK, these guys are being WAY too nice to you... so here goes!
WHAT A TOOL!!! WHY WOULD ANYONE TRADE A DYNA FOR A FLIPPIN' ROAD GLIDE??? THOSE ARE THE DUMBEST LOOKING BIKES HARLEY EVER MADE!!!!!
Ok, I'm done. Seriously, enjoy the ride and take care!
Yep, I knew I could count on you guys formoral support.I know I deserve the ribbing. As always...a ton of laughs! Thanks agian everyone! I'm gonna miss it 'round here.
Congrats on the new purchase. I'm about to put a deposit down on an Electra Glide Classic. Multiple bike syndrome. Wife wants a more comfortable ride. Keeping the Street Bob to customize and for when I ride solo on shorter trips.
