hey man, enjoy your ride..I'm from up north of you (Cottonwood)..I've been to that rally a number of times. Lots of good tequila and Mex food. Not going this year tho. Weather is going to be BEAUTIFUL> My wife and I have ridden a FXD for years, even down there in Mexico. I recently got an 07 Low Rider, we love getting on that. Enjoy your road glide, enjoy our abnormal warm weather here where we live..Don't you just love the threads about how to winterize bikes. What is that. Maybe we'll cross paths some time....Until then......ENJOY
congrats on the new ride!! ive been thinking about doing the same for a road king or road glide. i was kinda wondering did you pay cash for the sg when you bought it or did you finance it? just wondering what your price difference was a month between the new glide compared to the sg a month?
Hey Sal, my step dad lived up there off of Bates Rd for a while. I like Cottonwood. Did you go to the Horse Smokeout this year? We do northern loops out of Phxoften on the weekends and are often in the Cottonwood area. May we will run into each other.
Payment ended up being about $100 more per month. I had been researching and thinking about this for quite a while. Then went into the dealership to discuss the trade and number about three weeks ago. They highballed me on the pmt and lowballed me on the trade, so I left my info and preapproval and walked out. I had pretty much resigned myself to waiting until next spring, unless a good deal came by. The salesman called me last Sat while I was riding down at Tortilla Flats to see "how I was?". I called him back yesterday and he droped the offer in my lap. I went in last night to check it out. I liked the bike, and they were able to work the deal for the right monthly pmt that I stated I was looking for three weeks earlier. Good enough for me.
Thanks again for all the well wishes.
Thanks Doug. I sure will. This is truly a great group of helpful riders here in the Dyna famiily. I'll still be around cheking out what everyone is doing, as well as in the General, Touring, Off Topic, and Showdown (of course) forums.
hey man put up a post and let me know how you like it... i am debating on the road glide and the street glide... the solid mount fairning looks weird but makes an huge diff from what i hear! only i will keep my bob
I'm on the Street Glide tip myself if I ever get to that point. (that ain't gonna be anytime soon though.......)
I hear what your saying about taking longtrips. I know lots of guys have done stuff to make their Dyans travel friendly but to be quite honest it almost always seems to take away from the hotrod aspect of the bike that I think it's intended for. Once my kids get a couple of years older and Momand Dad can take a roadtrip here and there, I'm gonna move up to a Bagger. The Super Glide is always gonna have a spot in my garage though...........
