Its raining here, so I tried toget a picture of the windshield with the bike inside. Its just too cramped and dark to get you a good picture. Here is one I took for someone else to show the headlight and the windshield. Maybe this will give you an idea until I can get a better shot.
I am thinking about the HD compact detachable for my lowrider. Anyone have one on with pix.
That's the one I have on my FDXI. Pic is below in my sig. If you'd like I can post a frontal pic later today. The bike is on a stand in my garage currently.
I like the Sportech Cruiser Series windshields. They are quick detach and only leave 2 small clamps on the bars (they don't really look like clamps either).
I haven't gotten one yet but am planning to get one for longer trips and for the winter riding.
I have the HD Compact Detachable and it works for me. Usually only put it on when out on the road. Goes on/off very quick. Pics old and not very good. Have done several mods on bike since pic. also. I might add, this is the first w/s I've ever had in over 50 yrs on the road and I found it very easy to get used to.
Be careful of the HD compact detachable windshield. That is the one I picked up for my Low Rider and all it ever did was cause my vision to blur because of the buffeting to my helmet from the air over the windshield. I took it off and haven't used it since. I've learned to ride w/o a w'shield.
The nice thing about the QD HD windshields is you can quickly and easily take the fugly thing off when you don't need it. I hate it but have to have it at times. There isn't a windshield made that makes a dyna look better in my opinion - most make it look worse. But are you after looks or function? They are that size for a reason. If you want looks, don't put one on at all. I hate it enough that I'm finding more and more just how much I can really do without it as far as temps and speeds go. About the only time I want it now is if it's raining and, most likely, that would only be because I got caught in the rain and don't have the shield anyway. I guess I should sell it but it's nice to have for my rare really long road trips.
