Payments on another bike when you decide to get rid of that lemon?
There's a guy in our HOG chapter that bought a '07 Ultra. He has had several problems with it. One is a recurring problem where the oil pump has had to be replaced, and it's starting to make that old familiar noise again. He is going to sell/trade it 2 months before the warranty expires.
I know that feeling. So far it didn't go away with a new payment book.
Primary bearing went on my 06 Street Bob. Traded it in on a 08 FXDWG, and now I'm waiting for something to go wrong.
I know the feeling, it took me 2 years to get my primary bearing replaced............... started making bad grinding noise around 2500. Well, after 18,500 miles there wasn't any arguing that the bearing failed. Dealer had to put all new guts in it.
Do you how quiet the tranny gets without a primary bearing or bearing race?????[sm=bounceybounce.gif] You have to push some dealers to do what's right
Just make sure you don't buy any accessories, clothing or even coffee from the pigs. Get it some where else, and when you had enough get your next bike from a reputable dealer. JMO

That's sad Doug. I guess I should consider myself "lucky". The service at my local dealer has been pretty good. Only complaint was that they didin't have the parts on hand and took a week to get them.
