I'm pretty sure that full pipes simply look better. Having slip-ons are cheaperand easier to install, which gives someflexibility if you want to make occasional changes.

Slip-on are what they are, a muffler made to slip onto a stock exhaust pipe.
Full headers are typically a one piece system, some are offer power at different ranges of RPM, some are stepped, meaning the pipe gradually get larger as it goes back.

A full exhaust is usually a stepped design, where the pipe diameter changes, stock pipes are usually one diameter the whole length. And of course besides being cheaper,they're much easier to install.
