Default Should I keep Trying?

I have changed configurations on my bike since I bought it. Right now, I'm back to stock mufflers with baffles removed, a PCIII and K&N intake. I had it dyno'd by Rolling Thunder at the Harley Open House here in KC. It came out with 73HP and 77TQ.

Would you try SEII's to try to get some more TQ out of it? If so, would you be tempted to use the SEII's with the baffles or not?

I have a friend of mine with some for sale off his 2003 low rider. Comments? Thanks.

I had tried other mufflers on it but didn't like them.

removing baffles = losing torque

IMO go for a full set of rhineharts or v&h (with quiet baffles) or try either of their slip-ons and stop dickin' around with stock mufflers or SEIIs.

Thunderheader.IMO you aren't going to get much more out of it without going to a two into one system. But you'd do better going with cams, head work, big bore kit etc.

IMO you are not doing too bad for a TC88. If you go with a "torque exhaust" system you will probably lose some hp and gain some torque, but you have gained ~11hp and lost a few lbs of torque on an otherwise stock setup.
How is you A/F across the RPM range on your dyno graph??

I suggest going with the Rinehhart 2-1 for overall sound, torque and hp with your current setup.

Maybe Trotter will chime in here.............................

A/F across the RPM's on the sheet are in the low 13's to high 12's all the way a across.

Thanks for all the replies.

+1 - every time you think of something chrome or shinny you need on the bike, put that money in a jar. Save it up for a while and then take your money and bike to the hot-rod shop.

A few extra on the TQ/HP running in the 70s is nothing like the pull in the 100s.
