I have ISO pegs with stirrups (heel rests). Looking to get rid of them as soon as I find some pegs I like. I find I never use the heel rests much - I usually just like the heel of my boot up against the back of the peg anyway. IMO, full footboards belong on a dyna about as much as a windshield does. Then again, I do own and use a windshield now and then.
I have stir ups and use them all the time! I am short at 5'9 but i am also a body builder so my legs are very heavy... the stir ups make all the difference in the world for me! I do ALOT of long rides and they make it happen, this way i can go up with the bars and still be very confortable here is a pic... granted my bike is real real low and with the air shocks when i am on it the bike drops about another inch.5 so they will drag every now and then but oooh well who cares they do the job and have far paid for themselves over and over
I like the heel rests...look better than the floor boards...just kinda freaky when they scrape...I guess you get used to it...but so far I still clinch the ol sphincter everytime I scrape one on a curve...lol...
Made a lot of difference to me on comfort...well worth it if you feel you need them.
I run the iso pegs and stirrups and wouldn't have anything else. Though I will have to replace the pegs when I grind through the mounting bolt from scraping in the corners....no chicken strips on my tires for sure!
I have a set of KUY. swithblades on my SB, I like them a lot. In town they work great for riding and the long rides they open up and give stability to my feet at high speeds.
Twofish, can you please tell me what size wrench is needed for the stirrup adjustment. I just got them in and I do not have a wrench that big 1 1/4 ?
Thanks
