Bobtails on Bobs
Has anyone done the sheet metal exchange thing and put a bobtail fender on their Street Bob? I've gone with a wider tire out back now and think a bobtail would go nicely with it. I've seen some posts of real bob jobs -- they look great, but I want to keep my two-up seating, sissy bar, and rack so a true bob job wouldn't really work.

The bobtail goes good with the streched out WG, but not to sure about other Dynas...still have not seen a fatbob in person. If youlike it, go for it...its all about personal preferance. It might be badass with that new fat tire back there...

It's a Street Bob, not a Fat Bob, but yeah...you've hit the nail on the head. They look good with the rake you see on a WG, but I'm not sure that it would work so well on a bike like the Street Bob with a steeper rake. That's why I want to see pics!

To my eye, didn't look right on my machine (1st picture).
So I traded it to Trotter for a set of RineHart 2into1
and built a fender the way I wanted (second picture).
The fender looked real good to me on Trotters machine.
I think for my eye it was the balance with my ShortShots,
Don't remember now, Trotter was running a long pipe,
looked good.
Maybe he'll post up the picture.

Not a big fan of the Harley pre-fab "bob tail" fender but as you can see I do like a real bobbed fender.Mud can the Wide Glide Bobtail fender be shortened so that it looks like a real bobbed fender?

Mud's Fender on Trotters Street Bob .......Thanks Mud .... The Soft Tail Bob Tail fender kicks up on the end like the old original ones did, Theylook much better...
