Nothing for nothing.......went to my stealer last March lookin for a springer. (always loved the springers) They had none.last year was '06, except for the NT.(been outa the loop for a while)They coulda, as they told me; "looked for an '06 from anotherdealer" (I mean STEALER) I said "let me look around the showroom" And allI saw was thin tubed softies. They just looked liked **** to me.Although there were plenty of fat boys and classsics, I was never really into them. Then i saw the nighttrain springer........ NAH, not for me. As I was walkin out in true dispair....I saw the FXDB. I said what the hell, lets give a sit. Bought it on the spot. Im an old school guy. Had a few ridged frames . '70 650 bonnivllle, '80FXWG. (both basket cases turned ridged) But The DB really did it for me. Hell, If I wanted to go ridged; I'd do it again, TRULLY do it again. Not justgo for the look.
My all time favorite Softy is the BadBoy. HD only made them in 96-97 (I believe). Only came in black, with various trim colors: gray, blue, orange, red maybe 1 or 2 others. Front forks were black with chrome springer shocks.
Would still like to own one.
Hmmm... ya left my favorite out - Heritage Springer Classic '05-'07 - Beach bars, tombstone tail light, and blacked out springer - a real retro bada$$ sickle!!! And make mine in vivd black/sunglo red two tone with fishtails, thank you.
Yeah, I only saw 10 spaces to put choices, Figured the Springer option would cover both... The heritage Springer does look old school for sure.
I like the one with exposed shocks
Wait, thats not a softtail
Nevermind
LOL, yeah thats my favorite too!
I like the Deuce, almost bought one until I rode a WG, almost bought the WG until I rode a Bob, almost bought the Bob until I rode my SG, true story!
Well, at least you know you got what you wanted! Thats the best way to do it, if your not familiar with all the models. I always wanted a WG, but was having too much fun on dirt bikes and Sportsters.....I still got a Sporty in the stable though If I could have one from each family, it would be my Sporty, my Wide Glide,a Fatboy...but I think I would rather a FatBOB, and an Ultra Classic. All Black of course. [8D]Oh yeah,Vrods.....Not a fan....
