I gotta say this. I have been to other forums and you guys on this forum rock! Not only are you all willing to help folks with problems, but just look at this thread. The suggestions are not just all "buy this part", but also suggest making your own parts that are just as nice if not, in my opion, nicer and or better. True creativity with the machines we love! I know sometimes you have to buy the parts, but whats it gonna hurt by trying to make your own?!

I have a new 08 HD FXDC and see a lot of comments about changing air cleaners. Excuse the ignorance but can you tell me why you are changing it and recommendations for my bike?

Cholmes,

Theychange airas part of a stage 1 performance (and sound) upgrade, along with pipes and a fuel management system. Probably not alot of air cleaner options for the 08 yet. SE may be the only ones, until the aftermarket groups catch up. I don't think 07 cleaners will fit, at least that's the information I am getting, although there is some debate over this.
