whats up guys...im currently in the middle of lacing a 21 inch wheel on my bob.....was wondering if any one put a larger tire like a 120 on there 21 with the stock wheel???? i really would like a larger tire in the front.... any info would be great
If you're talking about the stock (narrow) rim, no. If will fit, but it will also want to come off the bead. If it pops off at speed, you're going to encounter a serious problem. Most of the 21" rime for the 120 tire are 3 1/2", but you could run a 3" without any problems. And don't measure your rim outside edge to outside edgeand think you have a 3" rim. Rim width is measured bead to bead.
Iassume you're wantinguse a stock hub, and lace up a wider rim on it. I'd call HogPro and ask them if they'll sell you the rim. I know they can build the wheel for you, andI canonly assume, they'll sell you just the rim.
I would think that would be dangerous.
anything other than common 21x2.15 is gonna be hard to find or expensive like custom. I run a 21x2.15 and luv it!
its not that bad [8D]stick a metz on front and maybe upgrade/lower your front susp. if not. 19s or 21s are all I'll touch.
