The flush caps, you press on the inner circle of the cap and then it pops up, and that's what you unscrew to add gas. Works kinda like the thing you press on on a retractable pen.
I kinda see what the tank lift is about, but not understanding "the point", is it just an appearance preference, or why would you want the tank raised???
Gilly
tank lift is 1 for appearance 2 makes it a lot easier to clean the front top head as you can easily get you hole hand in there to clean it. 3rd it actually help redirect air under the tank and helps keep the temp down on the motor. and lastly just looks COOL[8D]
Looks great. I saw one for the first time yesterday and fell in love now I've got to get some money together and get on on order. I've been looking for a bike to hot rod around on and save the RK for trips.
That front fender does look awesome. You've probably already thought about this, but be careful with high speed asthat fat tire will grow in diameter when that sucker gets to spinning fast (not just from the additional heat). It may be a tiny amount,I don't know for sure. I just know the really fat tirescan growa fair bit.I would also worry a little about hard cornering as it looks like it wouldn't take much tire deformation before that thing will rub. Even a little bit of drag on the front tire at high speed (or in a corner) could be disasterous. It's hard to tell fromthe picture, probably totally safe, but just something to watch out for. Man . . I love the look though.
Also, I haven't had any luck finding a mesh AC for the injected bikes. Cobbling something together like that has been on my projects list for 2 years, just haven't gotten to it yet. I bought a few automotive filters to test fit and none really looked right. There are some made for some carbs that might be a better starting point than what I tried. lf you find something, I'd love to hear about it. It would be a great look.
Can someone post a before/after pic of a bike (don't care what model, but before/after of the SAME bike) on the tank lift job? I can SEE somewhat what is being discussed, but in the pics I can't see that it makes that big of a difference visually. Show me a cool tank lift job, and what it looked like before.

I keep coming back to this thread & looking. I like the fork brace but can't decide if it's for me or not. It's an eye catcher. Nice mods though.

I'd never have believed that a fork brace would change the appearance of a bike as much as that. It certainly looks good. I like the flush caps but I'm not sure I could get away with slamming the mudguard down as close as that. Around here there's too much mud and gravel on the roads.
