...a can of Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Paint- Flat Black ....virtually IDENTICAL to Harley's texture black... and stronger, too

i gotta tell yah, stell.... it's strong stuff!.... all it suggests is that you apply it to a well cleaned surface....but i sanded, steel-wooled, and primed before i applied just to be sure

I might try it on a test spot. maybe do the outside or inside hub part of mag for now. just to see if it will hold up. I am sure it will take a lot of prep to do the rims, but I thinkthe black would look great. on the other hand, if I take off the rims for powder coating, that gives me a great excuse to go get the 180 tire for the rear I have been drooling over. ove 10000 miles on the existing tire, so it is about due. thanks for the info.

Think of it this way, even if it doesn't hold up as well as a good powder coat job.
You can buy a hell of a lot of the stuff for a lot less money, and you won't have to sit looking a a unicycle you can't ride for two or more weeks waiting for the wheelto come back from the coaters.

be sure you cover or better yet REMOVE your bearings... a little paint will cause your wheels to lock up if they are in the bearings... do not take chances brother... i had a old honda 750 lock up on me that i pulled from a barn... WOW... bike stops and YOU don't! i make it a point now to either replace or repack all the bearings on my Honda CB jobs...

cheap old school footrests chop the end off a couple of railroad pins,now the trick to keep it cheap get a mate to drill them out at work.saving you alot of cash on drill bits.
