Hello from Michigan,
48 year rider, first time Harley owner. Only 409 miles on it before the snow started flying. I've learned a lot from this forum. I'm thinking of going with the V & H 2 into 1 and SE A/C but not
sure about the modulator. Looking forward to some informed input.
Welcome Airlite357 - I'm on the other side of the state (Holland) and just bought my first Harley this year (used 99 FXDX). Rode when I was younger (Honda & Suzuki) but stopped when the kids came along. Now as the kids are leaving the nest, I wanted to get back into motorcycling. My wife (who rode before) was not in favor (to say the least)of me getting on a bike again. After months of discussion, I finally was able to get an H-D and am loving it. My wife now realizes how much I enjoy riding and just working on the bike (kinda relaxing for me) so she has softened her stance and even bought me some Harley stuff.
It's a bummer that the snow is now on the ground - I already miss riding!
Howdy and Welcome, Airlite357, from another Michigander. Gee I'll bet, with a screen name like that, you're into the smell of burnt gunpowder, too. Congratulations on the new scoot! BTW, you didn't mention what you got. And we are gonna need some pics, for the record. Snow and salt suck! Spring is coming.
And Mabes, I thought I was the only one dealing with a wife that was less than enthusistaic about getting a bike(or as she calls it, my mid life crisis). I told her it wasn't a mid life crisis, but it was cheaper than a 'vette and a 30 year old blonde. For some reason she didn't see the humor....
welcome from another Hollander over here on the southwest side of Mi. Like many others in the mitten state we are all waiting for the warm days of early spring.
