I have seen a few pics around of some dyna's that guys have put Chrome Billet Headlight on. FXDC rider on here yours looks nice.
Iam trying to find the right one i want love to see some pics of Dyna's with them on it and what size they are so i can get an idea how much they stick out how they look so i can order one over the winter.
I don't know weather to order a 4 x 7, or a 4 x 7.5, or a 5.75 x 7 or 9
Skully, I assume you've probably seen my recent thread about my headlight so I won't bother posting pix again. My sig pic now includes my new light. It's 4.5 x 7.5 but it's really 4.5 x 7.The advertised extra half inch is really just because of the "widow's peak" protruding from the top. Most of the bullet headlights I found were either 4.5 x 7 or 5 3/4 x 7 and some styles come in both sizes. I don't think you could go wrong either way, you just need to figure out which one has the look you like best. The light I bought came with a lower tree mount that I ended up using. However, it would have fit on my stock mount as well. The stock mount would have raised the light up a little higher but it would have also tucked the light back in between the trees a little more than the mount that came with it. The supplied mount is lower and is also arched outward to better show off the entire "bullet" when looking from the side. It also had nicer mounting bolts. The stock mount uses a through-bolt with a nut on one side. The supplied mount had a threaded hole and 2 chrome hex head bolts with lock washers that screw in from either side. You can find nice looking lights for less than $100 on up to $300 or more. I may find out the difference in the long run but, for now, the light I have has a nice chrome finish and seems very solid and provides a nice beam of light. I paid $90 for it including shipping and had it in 2 days. Once I got the wiring scheme for both sides (colors didn't match) thanks to some help from our friends here and at Eastern Performance, it was relatively easy to wire up.
Let me know if you do want more pix or help with the install in any way.
Jake bad *** bike man. I will be adding the Big radius over the winter. I like the look of your lamp looks good. You say HD 5.75 that a harley lamp then. 5.75 is diameter what was the length?
How do you like haveing the mids with the higway pegs? I am looking at dropping the mids and going with just forward controls?
From: Cleveland, Ohio (how do I put up with this place?)
RE: Need headlamp ideas
For a low buck change in profile, check out the trim rings that HD offer's. This is the only thing I've "replaced" on my bike.
I may change handle bars and tank emblem next.

Thanks OS. As far as the length, I'm not sure, but I can say it's pretty long. I didn't realize that they had more than one length in the 5.75". I love having the mids AND highway pegs. I've been living with a pinched nerve in my back for the past 3 years so it gives me the ability to change my seating position if needed.
