Default V&H or Rinehart

Looking for some opinions and facts. I have an 07 FXDC with V&H Big Shot Staggered pipes, K&N RK3909 High Flow filter kit, and a V&H Fuelpak.I have put less than 50 miles on the setup, the bike has less than 400 miles on it total.

I don't know if I'm happy with the V&Hpipes, lots of pops on decel and not sure I like the sound, a little tinny to me. I'm thinking about selling the V&H pipes and going with Rinehart Staggereds, I like the look and have heard they might be better pipes. I don't know, new to Harleys (not new to motorcycles) and would like to hear some of your thoughts.

Thanks,
Rick

if it is popping on decel .it sounds like you dont have the right map done .having the right map will make a lot of differnce.as far as the right exhaust that is more of choice.they both are very good.

Getting the bike tuned will make a difference in the Volume of Sound and Tone.. You can tune all of the popping out, and you'll be surprised how much better it rill run and sound.

Thanks, I assume when you say "tune" you are referring to dyno tuning?

Once you get her tuned, you can then add V&H Quiet Baffles (check ebay) for around fifty bucks.

The sound gets deeper and the "tinny" sound will be gone. IMHO, with the baffles, the V&H's sound exactly like the Rineharts.

Add the Quiet Baffles before you tune the bike.. And If your Vance & Hines sound like the Reinharts then you got aspecial pair ( Hang on to Them ) Some or most of the tinny, Raspy, sound will disappear with the addition of enough fuel to each cylinder and it will become louder..
