You sold your LR? So, that's where you've been. So the "mid-controls a$$hole" has gone out and bought a bike with stock forwards. I knew you'd go to the forward controls dark side sooner or later... Nice new ride!
I love my dyna because of all the reasons the originator of the post stated except that I don't look at any of it negatively and then make changes. I look at it as a blank slate to try and make it my own. I'd love to ride it everyday in it's current state because the ride never changes. But, I'm always changing or adding, mostly, cosmetic things because I enjoy that too. I had a conversation with 2 friends yesterday about the $25K Screamin Eagle bikes. We all agreed they'd be no fun because there's hardly anything left to customize and that's half the fun, especially when the bike is parked and you're waiting for the next chance to ride.
I Lovethe six speed tranny has me never checking for a higher gear likeon all the other bikes I have ever owned. It also helps that it tells you your in 6th.
I love my Low Rider. It fits my physical size. It handles well in the curves. I can remove the quick detachable windshield and saddlebags and change out the seat to a solo in about 3 minutes and have a completly different looking bike.
I think the bestthing I like about my Dyna SGC is the price I paid. I bought a 2006 a few months back from guy that was being deployed in a few months. The bike had 1800 miles on it and it was showroom condidtion. I paid $10,600.
Having said that, I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't like the lines. I really like the 10 spoke wheels combined with the chrome, and black paint. I also really like the look of the tapered stock exhaust.
Plus my wife said " that thing is HOT!!" That did it for me!
