Hi Guys, I don't know that much about the rear suspension on Dynas (even though I have one!) but isn't this tied in with the trans/engine system and its mountings?

My guess and it is only a guess, is that you are going to end up transmitting some truly awful shock loadings (no pun intended) straight into wherever the swing arm (rear fork) connects on to the motorsickle - yes?

At the moment you have lost of rubbery loveliness going on when you hit a bump. When you switch you won't - and it won't just be your *** that's taking a beating - big style!!

Just my 2c worth.

I've done it on my 06 street bob. Black powder coated them and everything. Then I went for a ride. Yikes. I had never ridden a hard tail and wasn't prepared for the difference. I even have a spring solo seat but it was a wild ride. I'm not saying I wouldn't do it again, but I'd be better prepared the next time.

well i have looked every where and the girl says my brother and his GF have my photo album at their house... when i get it i will post some of the bikes i have done... 95% are cafe's... the few that i did that where not where bobbers with stock frame modifications... here is the pic that i used when i built it.. the guy that built the one i the pick (Rick) really helped me out when building mine... mine was the same only diff were, the ign key under the tank, gloss black tints, no front fender, 12 in 7/8 mini apes, my seat did not have the button things, i had a stock exhaust 4 -2 that went strait back and we added another foot and half of tubing... fun bike... LOUD... but a hard ride... got the bike for free to remove it from a barn, $500 in new parts, few cases of beer to mybuddy that welded... and sold it for $3200 to a guy at a gas station! ha ha ha
(again not my bike... do not want to make Rick mad... mine was almost its twin) if you guys like the old honda CB... and everyone should check this out! ooooh ya... mine was strutted! (i could not afford shocks so we just drilled out a piece of steel. (hard tail)
