Default 1 1/2" apes....help please

Ok, so I got my wrap around fender & strut covers coming. Now I need to concentrate on getting the apehangers. I would like 1 1/2" apes but need to know what (good) brands are out there. Also, what else would be needed...obviously my risers wont work (I dont think). The other thing, I'm hoping that I can have the bars "inline" with my forks...you know what I mean by that? That mostly will be up to the ride position I guess.

Anyway, some help with brands. Thanks.

Oh, going on my 08 Fat Bob.

I'm running 16" X 1 1/4" Chubbys. They are stepped down to 1" in the center, so I can use regular risers. If you want them "inline" with your forks just get straight risers with no pullback. I got mine from an eBay store and they came pre-wired, with chrome controls, and the proper lengths of braided cables for my bike. I got the whole setup for around $600 including shipping. It costs a little more to get them prewired, but it is worth it to me to avoid the headache. I love my apes![sm=happybounce.gif]

BTW, what kind of fender did you get? I'm looking at putting a tail dragger or street sweeper on mine.

I've seen the Ebay bars. I too would liek to get mine pre-wired, but it depends on the bars I decide on. I'm also looking for apes that are 1.5" in diameter...I thing they would look better on my Fat Bob. I'll probably just get some short stubby risers...if there are some out there for 1.5" apes.

About the fender...I just got a black denim 06-08 stock dyna fender (wrap around type).

I like your bars. Are those the same dimensions as stock street bob bars? I would love a set of fatter bars internally wired but I love the feel of my bars.

Thanks jackyl...I appreciate it. After I get the apes and install them...I'll be hitting you up for a tank lift.

13" 1.25 inch chubblies from eBay prewired with all chrome controls, levers, etc. Do a search on my posts, etc. to check out what my bike looks like if interested in 13" 'ers
