had to go to bad driver school yesterday the instructor made it apoint to say anybody who would travel in excess of the posted speed (me 91mph) was a disgrace and should not be alowed to drive /ride also told me I would be back. well this was not my first rodeo so I had to agree but at my age 66 I really don't care I enjoy going fast and yes I have had mine up to 110/115 many times not my normal speed 80/90 but enjoy speed... sorry softail rider hijacking thread...
I had to go to bad driver school myself. I was even pulled over by a Leo on a Harley that sucks. He let every car go and gets me. He then gave me a lecture on how many bikers have been lost this year. I was probably 20 years his senior. I was very polite and he gave me a break on the overage, one more mile and it would have been expensive.
I have to log off now, and I couldn't do it with that lie I told above.
I'm one of the few that have a radar detector on my Dyna - why? - because I keep getting speeding tickets.
I am "red line in all gears all the time" and I know it is a bad thing, but it feels so good.
I lost a du-rag yesterday on I-45 South doing about 85. I stopped in a indy shop to buy a new one and told the lady that I lost it doing 85. She said "what were you doing 85 for?" My answer was "that's all I could do because there was traffic slowing me down".
Wow..here in TX i might cruise in the open at about 75-80. Above that and it is a battle to hold onto the bars. Almost have to lay on the tank to stay on comfortably above 80 mph. 120?...not fun on a dyna. I enjoy the bike, and my life, too much to go that fast. Just me I guess.
