Default 05 superglide Handle Bar ? (please don't hate me)

I know this has been beat to death but i need some sound advice.
My new to me 05 superglide is great but i need a little more bar pull back.
I can't afford risers right now, so was thinking about mini apes or something like that.
My question is this, can a set of these type bars be installed without havivg to buy new
cables and controls,if so how hard is it to change them out?
I'm no wrench guru but know my way around the shop as long as there is NO electical stuff to deal with. Any help or advice will be most welcome, thanks:
John

I put 12" flamed Chubbies on my wife's 05 SG. You can get by with the factory cables, but the brake line gets a little tight. You just have to gently bend the brake line and remove it from the clip and it should work until you can get some new cables. I have heard of people going up to 14" mini apes, but the 12" Chubbies are 33" wide and have a lot of pullback, so that is as high as she could go.

I put mini-apes on my '04 Super Glide. I did put on a new brake line but it was because I wanted a braided line on it.

I put the mini-apes on my 06, also changing the cables and lines. Here is a link to a GREAT write-up done by "thebestofindica". Probably more than you need, but here if you want it.

Edited cause I forget the link:
