Default Big Sucker Banjo Bolt ???

OK, I just installed a Arlen Ness Big Sucker stage 1 18-507 and noticed that one of the two button head banjo bolts did not have a vent or port drilled in the side like the other one...[sm=wtf.gif]
Both bolts have the same part # so I'm a little curious as to why they are different and will it hurt anything.

Thanks for any help.

I would expect them to both be vented. As far as hurting anything .. you have one that is, but I wouldnt want pressure building up in the crankcase, you know>? Who am I though ... Im just a painter.

they are both supposed to have the vent hole call the # on the box on the backside bottom they should not have no problem sending you a replacement might take a photo so you could send them an email showing them you have not just lost the bolt and trying to get one for free.

>>>>Update...... FYI, Eastern Performance Cycles e-mailed me and said yes only one of the bolts should be vented and it's correct so I go out for a 240 mile ride. Then today I get a reply back from Arlen Ness...

HI Mike,
Thanks for catching that and writing. It sounds like the bolt without the hole is defective. Both banjo bolts should have the side holes, as that is where the engine breathes through the backing plate. If you will send me your shipping address, will send one immediately. Recommend that you do not install and/or run the motor without the correct bolt. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for bearing with us.
Hope this helps,

I sure hope I didn't screw anything up by runnin it that way....

Make sure if you order a AN BS you check the banjo bolts !!!!!!
