Forward Controls
I know this has been beaten to death on here, but what the hell. I have an 07 Street Bob and probably gonna add forward controls. I wanted to get opinions/advice on brand, cost, install tips, best place to buy, ect... and maybe some pics. Everyone's info is appreciated. Like everyone says, this place is the best place for information.
I went with the HD forward controls. They were cheaper in price than most others I could find. They are pretty easy to install, the only PITA part of the install was the shifter rod through the primary. It was fairly simple to just hack it off with the hacksaw blade, but time consuming none the less.
I am 6'1" and the HD forward controls seem to fit me just right, I also modified the stock Super Glide Custom seat I purchased to push me back about another 1/2-3/4" after I got used to the forward control position. I always just felt like my feet were going to fall off, or it took effort to just keep my feet up there, but it just took some time getting used to the new riding position really.
The only tip I can give you regarding installation is not to let your dealer/somebody else charge you for it. This is definitely something anybody could do at home on their own with the tools. Forget removing the inner/outer primary like the book says to, save the gaskets for a time when you really need it.

I too used the Harley set and am very pleased with them. Here is a link written by WS6 Formula about installing the Harley set without having to remove the primary covers as Hog mentions above.

I had an S.J.P-set installed on wifey's Streetbob, the shifter-rod has been pushed into the primarycover, so no stickin' out rodsand has been locked by bolts/nuts .
Me as a 6'6'er can sit comfortably on it with this SJP-set!!!
On the FXSTC there's a SJP set of extended footpegs too, expensive but worth the money!!!

Kury extendeds. Do your self a favor and cut off the shaft at the same time. It's described in the link a few posts above. I did mine but waited till 6 months afterwards. Only reason to keep it IMO is if you plan on selling in the future and want to be able ot revert it to mid controls again.
I have HD forwards, since new on the 06SuperGlide. Wouldn't have anything but forwards.
I don't know if other forwards are better, but HDs are very plain (no complaint). May consider this when looking.

I have the Kury's. Bought from Eastern Performance on ebay, they were $299 shipped. Installed myself. You have to figure out how extended you want your legs to be. I'm 6'4" with 34" inseam and went with and am happy with the standard length set. However, guys shorter than me have the extended controls and are happy with them. Extendeds are not recommended for inseams less than 33".
I like the Kury's because, IMO, they are a little more "blingy" than the HD kit but the real reason is because I could install them myself without having to pay $$$ for labor and wouldn't have to go into the primary to remove the no longer needed mid shift components. I will probably never want to go back to mid controls. But, when I sell my bike, it will be nice and easy for the next person to switch back to mids if they want to without having to do work in the primary.
My 2 cents...

and the damages, it brings to mind a question.?? Can you buy individual replacement parts for the Kury's?Reason I ask, the shifter lever assembly shaft go snapped off, and the forward controls frame mounting bracket got bent beyond repair. Parts could be purchased separately from HD, and the shifter lever assy was actually in stock (got me home). I had to pay $70 for the shifter lever assy, the bracket is $99......... still much cheaper than a whole new set. Just sayin
I like the Kury's.

Got the Harley fowards friday took about an hour to install and that was with food poisioning(ruined my weekend[:'(])
Very easy, but, best to have a torque wrench and possibly breaker bar on hand.(stock footpeg mounts were damn tight)
