....... One piece tail light / turn signal combo on a Wide glide? Wondering if it would make the rear end look strange, or too narrow without the turn signals. It would simplify switching to detachable sissybar mounts.
Well I don't have a at but I do have a dyna with the one piece combo. I took of my rear turns because I only ride solo and they looked like little wings out there so I went with the Kuryakyn and it looks really good. My only complaint is that you need to use hand signals when turning in daylight b/c it isn't bright enough although the braking lights are plenty bright all the time.
Sweet looking lowrider ya got Dynamite!
My WG has the same color scheme, with the paint on the fenders reversed from yours.
The light unit I'm looking into "looks" like the turn signals would be bright enough. They have 10 large amber led's on each side of the stop/running light. Never know though, some of these parts look better in a picture than they do on the bike!
I am thinking of adding some of these lights to the end of my rear fender struts. I am thinking I can wire them into the stock plugs under the rear lamp by splicing the adapters on or something. These are the lowest profile I've seen and of course, your going to pay for it. Here's a link, I couldn't get a pic.

I'm on a different computer right now, so I can't post the pics. Look in my photo album and you'll see that exact light mounted to my wide glide. Questions??? Ask away...
1. It's fairly simple... It will be easier for you because I'll give you the wiring instructions. All that came in my box was the light and the mounting plate I ordered.
2. I can't get my head that far behind the bike while I'm riding to see...
I'm not sure if I can honestly answer the second question. I haven't heard anybody say "wow, those lights are barely visable" or "wow, I can see those lights from miles away" I hooked mine up and thought they looked pleanty bright enough. The only complaint came from a guy I was riding with. He didn't care for the size of the brake light because the turn signals take up 'brake light' space.
