might cost ya about $200... but you'll get a custom map for YOUR set-up and your bike will thank you and in turn... run like a raped ape!
Shop around if you can. A buddy of mine ended up finding his PCIII at a HD dealer 25% off and then they dyno-tuned it for $29. Not going to find a much better deal than that. They did a good job too. Even they techs were surprised how much HP and Torque they were able to tune into and it seems to run great.
Depends on a few things, the dyno is a diagnostic tool. If you can get your bike set up without it by loading maps made for similar set ups and you are happy with the way it runs then you don't need to have it dynoed.However if you are obsessed with getting every last bit of horsepower or torque out of what you've got or you just have to know that it running as well as it can then there's no other way.I couldn't stand the way mine ran and didn't enjoy riding it before I had it dynoed so it was money well spent to me.
