They probably stood back, looked at it, took a poll and everybody said "You know, that just looks - um. well... Is it the right piece?" and then decided they could sell a replacement.
I haven't decided what I will be doing to mine, but that piece just haunts me everytime I look at my bike. It bothered me when I first saw it before I bought the bike. It just isn't quite right, but since I haven't figured out exactly what *is* right, I haven't done anything to it yet.
I will try that on my band i have it somewhere in the garage....i want to do that to my lower sliders also anyone have a write up for polishing the sliders......
