Am I out of the loop? Can this be true? Local dealer told me friday that H-D was discontinuing the wide glide. I thought it was the most popular dyna. Has anyone else heard this? It is very disapointing if true,the w.g has always been one of my favs.

It was rumored last year it would be discontinued because it didn't show up in the paint options dealers get. Then it was found untrue and still around in a anniversary color only. Now the rumor is since it is only available in anniversary trim it will be discontinued for next year. We will find out sometimearound Julyif they discontinue it.

If it is true, all I can say is the top decision makers ARE Disconnected.
Perhaps Some type of data driven surveythat they are using. I just hope it isn't going to mean more blacked out rat bikes.
No offence to the folks that prefer them. I just don't care for the look. Just my opinion, and ya know what they say about opinions...

Way better then the Rocker. But hey I'm just not into the blacked out look, retro seatand using a SPRAY CAN from walmart to touch up my bike. I did that years ago on the Minibikes. What ya gonna do....

I've been lurking for about 6-weeks now since joining. I bought my first HD Dec. 5th - a 2008 Dyna Superglide Custom. I've put about 500 miles on it so far and loving every mile. I was at my local dealer on Sunday and talking to the salesman who sold me my bike. He told me that this was the last year for the Wideglide and it was only available this year in the anniversary model/colors.
