FYI. I just talked to Progressive and asked them if they were going to release them in stock length. They said 11" only for right now but the put it down on a request list. The more requests they get the more likely they are to produce them.
Im in the same boat as you. I need shocks but cant really find what I want.
The 430's only come in 11" as stated above.
The 418 comes in 11.5" 12" 12.5". They have billett aluminium bodies with gloss black springs. They also have a few damping options. very nice shocks IMO. Problem here is finding these. The Progressive site says dealer only and noone has any stock that ive tried so far. I thought I found a set, but they are for an older FXR dyna or a Sportster. So now I need to get rid of those.
Ive also been looking into the shocks from
Works
Ohlins
and Penske
Works is winning so far. The street trackers to be exact. Penske Penske
i had a set of these for a week (long story) and i told progressive to send me back my 412's. the 430's rode like bricks!! the guy kept insisting that they had the same spring, gas charged, superior valving and showed better results on every mechanical test.
well, the butt test of everyone that rode on it said they sucked!
