I've searched the site and have read a bunch of posts, but never really found ananswer.
I bought the Street Bob passenger pillion and realized there is nothing quick and easy about taking it on and off for 2-up to solo riding. The grabstrap has to be fastened to the fender by running your hand up under the fender and inserting a bolt through and into the grabstap and then the seat. (Not to mention the pad has to be bolted to the stock solo seat.)
If I were to purchase the Sundowner 2-up, does it come with a grabstrap? And if so, is the grabstrap fastened to the seat already, or will I still have to attach it to the fender from underneath just like the bob passenger pillion?
I'm looking to just being able to unscrew the rear fender bolt and remove the entire seat without having to unfasten the grabstrap from underneath the fender.
I've had the Sundowner and the Tallboy and both grabstraps install to the bolt under the seat as you described. This is also where the strap on my stock 2 up seat installs. Pain in the A$$! All of my grapstraps are in a box where they will stay. They are useless compared to the effort to put them on and take them off. If you did need to use a grabstrap for anything other than sliding something light under it to carry it with you, having one that just wraps around the seat won't do a lot of good as far as security to keep a person from falling off or whatever.
