Default Fender Struts

I have an 07 street bob with brushed aluminum fender struts. I am thinking about having them powder coated black or possibly buying chrome ones. What would you guys do? Does anyone have any chrome ones laying around that they would like to get rid of? Any help would be apreciated.

I use both....chrome and flat black (were once brushed aluminum) ....i switch them off....last summer i ran the chrome...this summer i'm running the black

...i didn't have them powdercoated....that brushed aluminum is easy enough to sand a bit, prime, and hit with a good paint.... i used Duplicolor High Performance wheel coating.... looks really nice....and it's tough.....

if you decide to paint.... just let them cure for at least a week

You already have a good start on blackness. If your gonna do the fender struts (and I think you should) you should also consider doing the fork lowers and maybe even the trees. Oh, and by doing it I mean powder coat.

Agreed! That would balance it out front to back. And with powder coat, you can use the parts as soon as you get them back... no waiting for days (or a week) for drying and curing.

Makes sense to powdercoat.

Anyone else got a set PM me
