Just traded for a used 06 Wide Glide. The previous owner mentioned a recall on the handlebars and it's been done. Are there any more recalls on the 06 Model? I read something about a transmission recall and am wondering what that's about. Any help on it or any others?
The tranny problem was supposedly "recanted". Some Dynas still have a problem, but so far I have been good with mine. Do a search on here and you can read all you like about the tranny. I think the only other recall was the battery cover.
Not sure if there was a"recall" but some, including me, had to have the front fender replaced, as it cracked at the rivot. Warranty covered it. Lastly if you have low speed surging problems, they will swap the injectors out for 25 degree injectors.
Again, run a search on here, there is a wealth of info. I love thehweck out of my 06 WG. And dont worry about all you read, negative issues get a lot of press... Just ride that thing!
There were a total of 3 on mine.
1. Handlebars.
2. Battery bolt.
3. False neutral light.
No problem with fender cracks or inner primary bearing yet (13,000 miles)
The HD Website has a spot to input your vin number and it will list service issues. I believe it also shows outstanding recalls. I know for sure that the dealer can look it up and tell you when and what was done and what's left.
Super choice in my opinion, but then I'm kinda biased........Good Luck
