I was at dealer the other day, and naturally checked out new bikes. They had an '08 fxdc there and it has a battery box band that has Super Glide written on it in cursive. Black letters set in chrome. I thought it would look great on my plain jane '07 fxd, so I ordered it, should be here in about a week. Yeah I know THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS W/O PICS. Promise to post some as soon as it's on.
I just notice that today at the local shop while picking up a tire tube, it is a good looking box and band.
At the same time, there was an FXD just next to it, and I noticed that was more of a brushed stainless, still like last year.
G'day,
you better not look at the left side cover (electrical) of an '06 fxd "35" or you may want that as well. Chrome strip with "superglide" in small letters, I ordered mine

The scripted battery box on the FXDC came out in 2007. It does look very nice.
Graham, will you please post a picture of your electrical box, when the get the chrome trim piece installed?
The SG band is nice. Was gonna get one, but decided to stick with my HD script one for now. Anything is a step up from that lame brushed band they put on our scoots factory.

I liked the battery band so much never looked at the other side, guess that means another trip out there.
