Getting Progressive 412s, Question?

When looking at the catalog it says get the HD set for loads over 225lbs and for loads under 225lbs get the STD set.
( HD= Heavy Duty STD= Standard )
I weight 190 maybe a little less.... Should I just go with the HD anyways?
Another question is will I have to change my kick stand?
Thanks for any input!
Donnie

I have the 412 11" standard duty on my SG. I weigh 195 and am very happy with them. I ride with the wife on the back (two-up weight 325) and they still do OK. I have seen some say the heavy duties are needed for two up. I have also seen some say the HDs make for a VERY stiff ride.

You do feel all the road irregularities and learn to avoid the pot holes and big bumps, but will never bottom them out even at the softest setting (which is all I ever use), and you're all set with the HDs if you ever go two-up. I only ever ride solo, though. I am not into a cushy ride (or else I'd be on a bagger), what I wanted was to be more in control on the twisties and feel really planted and in the bike - not on it. Little or no noticeable trade off on smooth roads and hiways.
I haven't had any problem with the kick stand, am just careful on any slopes as she doesn't lean quite as much with the bike lowered. Try it without changing the kick stand first and see what you think.
Price wise, I paid about $190 from Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse. Just do your homework on the Progressive website first and make sure you have the right part numbers for your bike and whether you want chrome or black.
Good Luck!
